In 2012, Rihanna will sink millions of moviegoers' battleships with her role in the aptly named film adaptation of the immortal board game, Battleship.

Unlike the board game, which involved battleships fighting other battleships, the film will center around an alien invasion. Assisting Rihanna with her task of saving the world will be True Blood star Alexander Skarsgård, and actor Taylor Kitsch.

We take comfort in the knowledge that Rihanna is out there protecting us from aliens. As soon as the hostile visitors hear her voice, no battleships will be necessary, because the aliens will be too busy negotiating a contract to collaborate with her.

Although it was being reported that Madonna is planning a benefit concert for Malawi, the queen of pop's organization, Raising Malawi, has released the following statement:

This past weekend, reports circulated regarding a Raising Malawi benefit concert in Blantyre, Malawi. These reports are entirely false; Raising Malawi and Madonna have no plans to host such an event.

He'll play a jock that Finn takes under his wing, but then he quickly becomes Finn's competition!

Chord will make his Glee debut in the season premiere episode on September 21.

When Madonna has an idea, it's nothing but the biggest and the best for Madge!

The pop icon is currently following the footsteps of Bob Geldof by planning a Live Aid type charity concert to benefit Malawi, which will be shown on TV around the world.

She has already called several of her celeb friends, including Bono, to perform at the Walk Out of Poverty concert in September.

A source at her Raising Malawi charity has confirmed that plans are well underway so that Madonna "make(s) this the biggest fund-raiser the world has ever seen. (She) is throwing everything into it. She knows the bigger the event the more money will be raised."

We know that if Madonna is planning it, it will be amazing! We can't wait to see who else she lines up for the concert!
